Welcome to Our Team

As an Educational Consultant, I guide students through the complexities of applying to undergraduate and master's programs in the U.S. and Canada. I help them identify the right career path, build college lists, and create portfolios that emphasize their unique strengths. To ensure a comprehensive application, I provide academic writing support and expert guidance for the SAT, TOEFL iBT, and IELTS.
My path here wasn't traditional. I began my professional career in 2006 in sales and marketing for global pharmaceutical corporations — an experience that taught me a practical, real-world perspective on what it takes to stand out. At the end of 2013, I moved into education, and after living and working in various locations, I settled in Monterrey, Mexico in 2016. There, I've focused on teaching English language and literature and preparing students for standardized language exams, helping non-native speakers find their voice and excel in a global academic setting.
I have successfully completed my certification in Independent Educational Consulting at the University of California, Irvine, which deepened my expertise in ethical admissions practices, financial aid guidance, and building individualized student roadmaps. Whether we meet in person or online, my goal is to simplify the transition to higher education and give the clarity you need to take the next big step.
I am an Independent Educational Consultant with a long background in education, academic leadership, and student support. Throughout my career, I have worked with students at the high school and university levels, designed and coordinated academic programs, supervised teachers, and participated in international education initiatives in both Mexico and the United States.
My experience includes work with the International Baccalaureate, international language programs, curriculum and assessment development, and a Fulbright Teacher Exchange in the United States. Over the years, I became increasingly interested in helping students prepare for international academic opportunities, and that naturally led me to focus more directly on college counseling and the U.S. admissions process.
I completed the Independent Educational Consulting Certificate Program at the University of California, Irvine, which gave me the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of college admissions and, at the same time, reflect more carefully on the kind of counselor I want to be. I believe in listening closely, communicating clearly, staying organized, and most importantly, getting to know each student as an individual.
At Top College Way, I work with students and families through the different stages of the college process, from researching universities and building a balanced list to applications, essays, and final decisions. I believe college counseling should help students look beyond rankings and familiar names and think about what really matters to them. For me, the goal is not simply to get a student admitted somewhere, but to help them make thoughtful decisions about where they can grow academically, personally, and independently.
I also enjoy helping families understand how the U.S. admissions system works, especially when they are going through the process for the first time. Because I work in both English and Spanish, I can support students directly while also helping parents feel informed and involved throughout the process.
